![]() Forward smash has high startup, making it easy to avoid, up smash is risky due to its ending lag, and back aerial has trouble connecting on grounded opponents. Though he has a strong, safe finisher in his forward smash, a fast, powerful back aerial and up smash, he has difficulty landing these moves. ![]() Despite being a lightweight, Meta Knight's falling speed, gravity and unusually round hurtbox make him highly vulnerable to combos, which combined with his low weight grants him poor overall endurance. His attacks generally have very few active frames, forcing him to be extremely precise with his moves lest his opponent punishes him. Meta Knight does have several weaknesses. Such options grant him the ability to vary his recovery to make it incredibly difficult to punish him offstage, let alone gimp him. Dimensional Cape allows Meta Knight to cover the distance in any direction while invisible, and offers the option to attack upon reappearing. Mach Tornado and Drill Rush travel far horizontally and with long-lasting active hitboxes, and the latter can be angled. Shuttle Loop, his up special and main recovery method, is fast, offers high vertical recovery, and has a large hitbox. In addition to having five jumps and passable air speed, his special moveset is full of recovery options. Meta Knight's edge-guarding prowess is mainly courtesy of his recovery, which is arguably the best in the game. Neutral aerial has a lingering hitbox and strong knockback, back aerial is fast with high power, and down aerial is a safe semi-spike than can gimp deceptively early. Thanks to his flexible aerial mobility, he has little trouble chasing opponents offstage, and his aerials are well-suited to edge-guarding. Even after his opponents are launched too far for a true combo, he can continue pressuring them by punishing their air dodges and landing options through effective use of his aerials, dash attack, and up tilt. His dash attack and down throw can combo into an up smash or aerials at lower damages, while his up aerial can link into other aerials or his up special. While his damage output per hit is not impressive, Meta Knight's speed and jumps allow him to rack up damage through combos at lower percentages and chase opponents through the air through to higher damages, punishing their escape options. For attacks that are poorly spaced, he can opt for a grab, from which he has a down throw that can start combos up to mid-percentages, a back throw to set up edge-guards and KO at very high percentages while near the edge, and an up throw that can also KO at very high percentages (especially on platforms). If Meta Knight finds himself on the defensive, he has several options to relieve pressure, such as a fast, decently long-ranged forward tilt for countering aerial approaches, a fast, long-lasting, and strong neutral aerial, and the 2nd fastest down aerial in the game. He is not lacking in grounded pressure either, having a fast down tilt that can trip, and a dash attack that can cross-up shields, and both of these moves are capable of setting up combos. His low, quick short hop and fast, low lag aerials allow him to continuously apply pressure to opponents at close range. Overall, unlike other characters with multiple jumps, Meta Knight is neither wanting for speed nor range.Īs expected, Meta Knight's playstyle relies heavily on his speed, both in terms of mobility and frame data. He is also the only small character to use a sword, which gives his attacks a bit more range relative to his stature. He has multiple jumps, but unlike other characters who share this ability, he has strong mobility, comprising fast dashing and walking speeds, high falling speed and gravity, and average air speed. Meta Knight combines several unusual traits. Meta Knight must then be defeated on Halberd (the Ω form is used in World of Light).

Vox equipped the 1963 AC-10 Twin shown on this page with a pair of 10" Elac speakers. JMI Vox catalogs from the sixties indicated that the AC-10 Twin amp was equipped with "two special 10 inch loudspeakers." This lack of specific speaker information left the door open for whatever "special" speaker might be chosen by Vox for future AC-10 Twin production. Eight "one pin" plastic corners, a "Ten Twin" grill badge, a Vox logo handle and three Vox logo air vents were installed.ġ963 AC-10 Twin Amplifier - Serial Unknown Black Vox grill cloth and gray control panels were now the norm. The cabinet was covered in black basketweave Vynide. Known as the "thick edge" AC-10 Twin cabinet, the top, bottom, sides and baffle were made from 3/4"īaltic birch plywood (see photo below and inset photo "C"). The final version of the AC-10 Twin cabinet was produced in late 1964. The logo, handle and grill remained unchanged but the brass vents were replaced with a new molded vent with a Vox logo. It had a "thin edge" cabinet with rounded rear edges (inset photo "B"). The next generation AC-10 Twin cabinet was produced in mid 1964 and shown on the amp at the top of this page. The only significant change was the replacement of the luggage style swivel handle with a Vox logo handle. It was similar in most ways to the original "thin edge" AC-10 Twin enclosure. It also featured the "thin edge" cabinet. The next version of the AC-10 Twin cabinet was produced in late 1963 and shown at right. The amp had a large Vox logo, brown Vox grill, a hinged plastic "suitcase" style handle and brass vents. After Vox phased out fawn vinyl in 1963, the smooth black vinyl that covered the Vox Continenal organ was used on the AC-10 Twin. The earliest AC-10 Twins were covered in fawn rexine vinyl. As it was constructed primarily of 3/8" baltic birch plywood, it earned the name of the "thin edge AC-10 Twin." The front and side edges of the cabinet were radiused, but the rear edges were square (inset photo "A" ). The earliest version of the AC-10 Twin was produced in 1962. The AC-10 Twin had the look of a slightly downsized version of the AC-30 Twin.Įven though the AC-10 Twin was only produced for a few years, the cabinet went through a number of revisions. You can view detailed pictures of the AC-10 chassis and learn more about its circuitry in the AC-10 "Under the Hood" web page. The tube complement included one EF86, one ECF82, one ECC83, two EL84 and one EZ81. Later models used a rotary switch for mains voltage selection. A remote "egg pedal" foot switch actuated the tremolo effect.Įarly models included a plug style mains voltage selector (see control panel image at top of page). The Vibrato channel had "Speed" and "Amplitude" (depth) controls. Vibrato was a bit of a misnomer as the AC-10 actually had tremolo, not vibrato. A single tone control rolled off the treble response in both channels. The AC-10 had a Vibrato and a Normal channel, each with two inputs and a volume control. The schematic was updated in September 1964 when 120 and 160 VAC mains voltage taps were added to the power transformer for export models. ![]() The circuitry for the Vox AC-10 was designed by Dick Denney and was published on Jennings service schematic OS/008, "AC/10 Amplifier No. The AC-10 "Super Reverb Twin," a separate AC-10 head with reverb, tremolo and a matching 2x10 speaker cabinet became available in 1963. The addition of a second speaker in the AC-10 Twin helped to bridge the gap in the Vox line between the single speaker AC-10 and the AC-15. JMI also added a second 10" speaker to the AC-10 in 1962 and created the AC-10 Twin. The AC-15 Twin was priced between the 1x12" AC-15 and the AC-30 Twin. Vox introduced a dual 12" AC-15 in 1962 by modifying an AC-30 Twin cabinet to accept an AC-15 chassis. The 34 watt, dual 12" speaker AC-30 Twin was perched at the top of the Vox line.Īfter the basic amp line was in place, Vox created a few new models from existing components. Next came the 10 watt, single 10" speaker AC-10, marketed by Vox to "the smaller group." The 17 watt, single 12" speaker AC-15 met the needs of the club musician. JMI introduced the 4 watt AC-2 (later known as the AC-4) as an entry level amp. So, if you find yourself struggling to stay motivated, cut your to-do list down to a more manageable size.Įach day, choose no more than three tasks and make that your new to-do list. However, they can also overwhelm us so much that we end up procrastinating even more. To-do lists can help us organize our tasks and focus on what’s important. The entrepreneur Arianna Huffington said, “We need to accept that we won’t always make the right decisions, that we’ll screw up royally sometimes-understanding that failure is not the opposite of success, it’s part of success.” 7. If you do this and act on what you learn, you’ll transform mistakes into opportunities. When you commit one, ask yourself, “Why did I make this mistake? How can I avoid making the same mistake in the future?” Mistakes are a golden opportunity to learn and improve. Then, allow yourself to gently come back to the task at hand. Try to remember your true inherent value as a human being. You wouldn’t speak to someone else that way, so why do it to yourself? You deserve your own kindness. If you notice yourself doing this, pause and try to speak to yourself kindly instead. In fact, if you’re like many people, you may find that you internally “speak” to yourself in a mean way. When you procrastinate or make a mistake, it’s easy to beat yourself up. Ideally, you could make a gratitude journal to appreciate the small things in life on a daily basis. These could be anything-from your morning coffee, to your pet, or even the comfortable chair you sit on. To practice gratitude, start by writing down three things you’re grateful for. One of the quickest ways to feel good about yourself is to practice gratitude-it’s almost entirely impossible to feel low and grateful at the same time. ![]() When you feel appreciation for yourself, it’s much easier to stay motivated. So before you try to motivate yourself, take a step back and try to appreciate how you feel. When you find yourself stuck in a rut, it can feel impossible to motivate yourself. Getting motivated is almost impossible if you’re looking at the situation from a negative viewpoint. Once in the flow, you may just find it easier to continue with the next task. Finally, ignore everything except the step you’re working on. Then, write down every single step you need to take to make it happen. Here’s a method to help you find motivation to get things done: Write down what you need to do on a piece of paper. That’s why the painter Vincent van Gogh said, “Great things are done by a series of small things brought together.” Remember, you can’t do everything at once. Sometimes it’s the simplest things done well that work the best.
